First Hollywood thriller tackling GMO’s concerns, Los Angeles
“Consumed” is the first major narrative feature film to tackle head on the complex world of Genetically Modified food. Zoe Lister-Jones and Daryl Wein’s movie tackles the ongoing controversy over genetically modified food, but it does so in a different way from so many other socially conscious projects: It’s a fictional film, not a documentary.
The film manages to cover many of the controversies surrounding GMOs including corporate greed and control over seeds, threats to organic farms, lack of transparency and intimidation of scientists who question the technology.
Consumed is available on video on demand platforms, such as iTunes and Amazon, as well as through the film's website.
